Though the book is little it truly packs a powerful punch. I initially read the book when it first came out during the Pandemic. It took me about a month to read it, because it causes serious introspection and self-reflection. Even though I am an avid reader, this was not a book that I could consume in one sitting. It broke me down and had me in tears. One because I realized that I had a need for true repentance. Two, I realized that I was not living my life in God's Purpose. I was just existing, hoping to make it from one day to the next. And thirdly, one of the most profound passages in the book that stuck with me, I was not living my life as God designed. Dr. Duplessis-Franklin said, some of us are station wagons, only carrying just you, while others are corvettes trying to carry a basketball team. I go back every few months and refresh myself. You need to read it with your Bible, it makes digesting it much easier. I have the hard copy, the Kindle version as well as the audible. I can't wait for the next installment.
